Generally there isn't anything set in stone as to how you go about reporting those who aren't following forum/server rules to the best of your knowledge. However, there are some useful pieces of information you could provide us with to influence how we determine the cause, severity of the crime, and judgment of punishment.

Manner of posting:

1) Legible and understandable. English is the only accepted language. Grammar and spelling are not things we care about, but it will make things easier to read and understand for everyone, staff and users alike.

2) Maturity. When reporting, please try your best to to avoid insulting anyone, excessively cursing, freaking out, or blaming everyone but yourself. Trolling and flaming is also not recommended.

3) Manners. Adding in some pleases and thank yous goes a long way. It's not a requirement or anything, just one of the guidelines we recommend you follow, as staff has to take the time to read all of this information in order to help you attain justice!

Information we seek:

-Who committed the crime?

-If you don't know who, then who do you suspect did the crime?

-When did the crime happen?

-If you don't know when it happened, when do you think it happened?

-How long has it been since you noticed the crime and posted here?

-What is the crime?

-How many times has the offender repeated this?

-Where is the exact location of the crime on the server? To retrieve this information, stand on or near the location in-game and type /getpos, then write out the X, Y, and Z here.

[color=#FF9900]Please note: We are able to confirm all of this within the server log files. If you lie to us, you yourself, may be punished for stating false or otherwise artificial information.

Evidence:

-Screenshots of crimes in progress.

-Links to topics where the suspect has committed similar crimes.

-Demonstrating in-game, by having staff check it out.

How staff deals with this information:

First, we read it here on forums if we haven't already discovered it ourselves in-game.

We then send you a private message stating to arrange meeting with us at the scene of the crime in-game.

We investigate.

If we find sufficient evidence, then a punishment will be determined not by a list of punishments set in stone, but however, using our judgment versus the severity of the crime.

If possible, you will be reimbursed for what you may have lost, which usually happens when we rollback a player by a specified amount of time, which in turn, reverses everything they have done. This includes griefing, chest theft.. everything.
